It is easy for us to give in to the feelings of despair that constantly encroach upon our minds. The more difficult thing to do is to allow hope that comes from knowing God and his revealed word to comfort us. We are thankful for those who have laid down their lives on behalf of this nation. Many of them believed in the ideals of our nation in the face of unfulfilled promises and expectations. May God continue to raise up men and women filled with hope in God.
