Romans 8:1-14

This week we get to see a side of God that is consistent with the human quality found in a mother.  The ability to withhold condemnation and criticism when absolutely deserved is a trait that The Father decided to grace a mother. 

Consequences of past actions, the reality of impending death, and a sense that we cannot undo past mistakes weigh heavily on the human spirit. Where does one find relief from these pressures? Paul assures us that those who are in Christ Jesus have life in the Spirit and are free from condemnation.

Being in the presence of a mother is the perfect reminder that we have a God who is even more caring and understanding than the greatest mother ever.  Let us look into the text of Scripture to mine the nuggets of truth that lay just beneath the surface of one of the most beloved chapters in the Bible.
