At The Centre, we've always believed ministry is about people showing up for one another, especially during life's transitions.
Long before this became a scholarship fund, it started with a woman who cared deeply about others. Cassandra Walker was the president of the Women's Ministry here at The Centre at Highland. The scholarship in her honor reflects the heart of making sure no one in our church family has to walk into a new season alone.
For many students the transition after high school comes with real challenges
- 25% of college students work extra shifts just to pay for textbooks
- 11% of students skip meals to afford required course materials
- 65% have skipped buying a required text book because they could not afford it.*
2025 Scholarship Impact
- Because of the generosity of our church family, three graduating high school seniors each received $750 scholarships to help support their educational expenses.
