Fear will sink you, while faith will allow you to walk on water with Jesus. The supernatural power of God is released in our lives, in the presence of Jesus, when we take the next step of obedience to what Jesus has said to us.
REALITIES FOR WATER WALKERS
1. Faith unleashes the supernatural in your life.
We walk by faith and not by sight. This is God’s plan - that we experience his power in a very personal way when we believe that he exists and is willing and able to empower us to accomplish his great big purposes for our lives.
2. Fear is the enemy.
2 Timothy 1:7 NLT For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
3. Focus (on Jesus) is your friend.
It’s so easy to get distracted by the threats, real or imagined, from the world around us, but keeping our eyes on Jesus is key to walking on water.
4. You’re always better off on the water with Jesus than in the boat without him.
When you leave your comfort zone to follow Jesus, you’re always better off. I’ve never met anyone who regretted walking in obedience to God in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Experiencing close and intimate fellowship with Jesus absolutely spoils us for any other kind of life!
