This is not just any game it is the game to determine the best team in the league. Both teams got to this point by persevering and pressing toward the prize.
The journey of faith requires many of the same qualities of a championship. One of the most popular is perseverance. Paul compares life to a race—a race that requires both endurance and focus. It’s easy to become distracted or discouraged along the way, but as Hebrews 12:1-2 encourages us, we must lay aside everything that hinders us and keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Today, let’s talk about the importance of perseverance. Together, we will find the strength to press on toward the prize, remembering that the reward is worth the effort.
